Tuber Promise: We’re grateful for your support of our teensy tiny "farm" - your satisfaction is a top priority for us! We always work to ensure that your dahlia tubers are accurately labeled, arrive with at least one visible eye, and feature a healthy tuber body. Please check your tubers as soon as they arrive and reach out to us at info@willamettevalleydahlias.com within 4 days of delivery if you notice any issues. After this 4-day period, you will assume full responsibility for the tubers. Please note that we cannot be held liable for damage caused by adverse weather, pests, rot, unfavorable growing conditions, neglect, or plant performance.
Viruses: We take extreme precautions with our dahlia plants to work for virus free plant material. We cull anything that looks suspicious, we sanitize between cuts, and work to maintain high levels of plant hygiene (or, as much as we can in an agricultural environment)! This all being said, viruses happen. Just like in humans, best laid efforts are sometimes just thwarted by the environment. We will never ship anything that we suspect might be sick, but once it is shipped, we cannot control the environment it enters and therefore cannot guarantee the plant will remain virus free. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about our practices or methods, simply email us at info@willamettevalleydahlias.com
True to ID: Plant labeling is one of the first things we do when we plant dahlias, sometimes even before they go in the ground. We keep rigorous records and extensive databases of what went where, how many, when, etc. Since we are a small operation, every plant is labeled by us, inspected by us, and packaged by us. Despite our best efforts, it is possible that something may have ended up mislabeled- if that happens please reach out to us with your order #, photos of the tuber in question, and photos of the blooms. We would like to make it right, and by contacting us at info@willamettevalleydahlias.com we will work to resolve the issue. Please keep in mind that growing conditions and time of the year can affect the plant growth, appearance, and color, so even if it doesn't 100% match the photo on our website, its possible the bloom just has a difference character in your space.
Limit 1 Varieties: Currently, we have a number of listings that are limited to 1 per customer. We ask that customers self police themselves, and not add more than 1 of those listed varieties to their cart. Unfortunately, our web hosting will not allow for purchasing limits or partial refunds, which means if you add more than 1 of these tubers to your cart and check out, we will need to refund your entire order. We don't want this, you don't want this - please abide by the policy and everyone can share in these stunning, limited offering dahlias.
Orders are Final: Once an order is placed, it is final. We do not offer cancellations and refunds if you change your mind. We are a TINY operation, and any deviations from normal operations slow down our ability to handle the workload. Thank you for your understanding.
Stock: Sadly, sometimes tubers don't make it through the storage season; some varieties are more prone to this than others. Knowing that 100% wont make it through the winter storage, we intentionally list less than 50% of our stock during our first sale in January. Once we hit March, we have a much better understanding of what our supply looks like and will list the rest of our inventory. If you place an order with us, and during the pre-shipping inspection, we find that the tuber quality isn't up to our standards and we don't have any alternative, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order. We work to make sure this doesn't happen, but if it does we will endeavor to make sure we can supply you with those tubers the following season, with a discount thrown in as an appreciation for your patience and flexibility!
Golden Rule: We are so excited to share our dahlias with you! This community is so kind and welcoming, and we have had truly wonderful experiences with 99% the folks who have purchased from us in the past. We know sometimes the rush for specific varieties can be stress-inducing (we've been there!) and we wish we had enough to supply everyone with everything- but keep in mind we are a MICRO operation, and outside of our passion for dahlias we work full time jobs. We will always bend over backwards to help - and with a background in hospitality, are usually succesful at resolving issues so the customer is happy with the outcome. But, if an interaction with a customer reaches a point where we are no longer feel comfortable with how we are being treated or spoken to, we reserve the right to cancel and refund an order.
Tuber sales go live on January 15th, 2026. Until then, only merchandise is available for purchase.
