Dahlia tubers grown during the summer of 2025 will be available for sale beginning on January 15th, 2026 at 8am PST.

We will only list one half of our supply during this first debut in January, and will hold a second sale in early April once we know what our final stock is estimated to be.

We limit certain unique and rare dahlia tubers to 1 per person per season to ensure fair access for all our customers and to preserve the integrity of these special varieties. Here’s why:

  • Limited Supply: Rare dahlias, often bred by dedicated hybridizers or rediscovered from limited stock, are produced in small quantities. Our family grows a limited amount of these tubers with meticulous care, and their availability is constrained by factors like: natural yield, our own limited stock, and the time it takes to multiply stock sustainably. Limiting purchases helps us share these treasures with as many enthusiasts as possible.
  • Sustainability and Fairness: As a small, family-owned operation, we aim to balance demand with our capacity to replenish stock. Limiting rare tubers ensures we can maintain healthy plants for future seasons and provide equal opportunities for new and returning customers to experience these exceptional blooms.

We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us steward these dahlias responsibly. If a variety is sold out, sign up for our waitlist to be notified of future availability, and consider exploring our other stunning varieties!

Tubers are shipped starting in April and we aim to finish shipping by the beginning of May. Please note that shipping dates may vary based on your location and weather conditions - we try to keep an eye on the weather so we are not shipping while its freezing, or during a heat wave!

Absolutely.

We love having visitors, and we strongly encourage you to pick this option if you are local to Canby Oregon or the Portland Metro area. There will be TWO weekends available for pickup for local orders: April 25th & 26th and May 9th &10th, 2026. Our tuber pickup aligns with our veggie starts sale and you’ll have the opportunity to pick up more dahlia tubers if you feel the urge! While Spring 2026 is still many months away, please only choose the local pickup option if you can commit now to pick up on either of these two weekends.

Please only choose Local Pickup if you are able to commit to the pickup weekends outline above. Any orders NOT picked up will be held until shipping + an additional 10% is paid.

Given that pickup is at our home, we ask that everyone honor our privacy, personal space, and time commitments, by only showing up during the specified dates and time windows. Thank you for your understanding!!

Each tuber is carefully inspected, labeled, and packed with a growing guide. We use sturdy packaging and vermiculite to protect tubers during transit. Tubers are shipped via USPS or UPS, depending on your location, and tracking is provided with every order.

We charge a flat rate of $18. This means if you purchase 1 tuber, it will cost $18, and if you order 10 tubers, it will cost $18. If you place an order over $300, the shipping is free.

This is our first year selling on the website - we will see how this first year goes, and reserve the right to adjust our policy in 2027.

We ship with tracking, and delays are rare. If your order is delayed or lost, contact us with your tracking number, and we’ll work with the carrier to resolve the issue or reship if necessary. We’re not responsible for delays due to weather or incorrect addresses. Please double check your address is correct prior to finalizing your purchase!

We guarantee that all tubers will arrive viable, with at least one visible eye, and true to name. If you receive a damaged, rotten, or eyeless tuber, contact us within 4 days of delivery with photos, and we’ll replace it at no cost or issue a credit, subject to availability.

Orders can be canceled or modified before they enter processing, typically by February 15th, with a 15% restocking fee or $15 (whichever is greater) applied. Once processing begins, cancellations or changes are not possible. Contact us directly for assistance.

We prioritize sustainable and organic growing practices, avoiding synthetic pesticides and fostering soil health. While not certified organic, our methods align with regenerative farming principles to ensure healthy, vibrant dahlias.

About half our dahlias are grown on our family homestead in the heart of the fertile Willamette Valley, in Canby, Oregon. The remainder of our dahlias are grown on a leased plot of land, also within Canby.

Since our plot is leased, the owners have asked for us to refrain from having too many visitors to the location. As such, we are happy to welcome folks to pick up tubers and bouquets at our home on specified days of the year at specific times so we can ensure we are present to greet you and walk you around the space. Visitors please be aware: we have two very friendly dogs who will want all the pets and snuggles!

Some hybridizers have decided to license and control the sale and trade of their dahlias.

We are a licensed seller of Santa Cruz Dahlias® (these can be found on the store labeled "KA's®").  Their trademarked varieties can be freely grown, multiplied, traded, or donated. Growers can freely sell the cut flowers. They can freely harvest, share, or sell seeds. Customers who purchase trademarked varieties may not sell cuttings, tubers, or plants without a trademark license from Santa Cruz Dahlias®.

No, we currently only offer delivery within the United States.

We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
